Product listing audit
A product listing audit that checks every claim against your product facts
We read your product page the way a marketplace reviewer, a retail buyer and a careful customer read it — then hand back three lines per claim: what holds up, what needs a source, and what should be rewritten. The first page is free.
Free check on one product page
Send one product URL. You get the annotated page back — no call, no subscription, no obligation.

Most pages do not fail because the copy is badly written. They fail because one sentence promises something the business cannot document. These are the four patterns we find on almost every page we read.
1. Unsupported claims
Materials, safety, sustainability, origin and performance statements with nothing behind them. The page reads well and proves nothing.
2. Contradictions
Two different woods, two different capacities, a warranty badge that disagrees with the warranty paragraph. Buyers notice; reviewers notice faster.
3. Missing buyer facts
No weight, no dimensions, no care line, no “what is in the box”. The questions that generate returns are answered nowhere.
4. Lines doing no work
Sentences that cost space and add nothing — usually the place where the strongest, verifiable fact could be standing instead.
What an audit looks like
Three real findings, anonymised, from pages we have reviewed:
How the audit works
- You send one product URL. Nothing else is needed to start.
- We read the page against your product facts. Every claim is tagged: holds up, needs a source, or rewrite. Contradictions and missing buyer facts are flagged separately.
- You get the annotated page plus a rewrite block. For each flagged claim, a replacement line that says the same thing in a way you can defend — with a placeholder for the document, test or certificate number that closes it.
Where claims are checked beyond the description
On ecommerce platforms, the description is rarely the only place a claim lives. Our audit covers the full set, because a claim removed from one field usually survives in another:
- Title, bullet points and description body
- SEO title and meta description
- Image alt text and variant names
- Collection and category copy
- Structured data and product feeds
- A+ or brand-story modules and comparison charts
Who this is for
| Seller type | Typical reason for the audit |
|---|---|
| Amazon sellers (FBA and FBM) | Suppressed listings, ad rejections, or copy inherited from an old supplier listing that nobody has re-checked. |
| Shopify and DTC brands | Scaling paid traffic to pages whose claims have never been reviewed, or preparing for a retail partner onboarding. |
| Brands with regulated categories | Supplements, pet products, food contact, cosmetics and anything with a health, safety or environmental statement. |
| Retail and marketplace partners | Supplier copy arriving in bulk, needing a claim check before it goes live on your own storefront. |
What the audit is not
- It is not a keyword-stuffing service. Ranking copy that cannot be substantiated is a liability with better traffic.
- It is not a compliance certification. We check the copy against your facts and flag what needs a document; the document itself stays yours.
- It is not a rewrite of your brand voice. We change the sentences that create risk and leave the ones that work.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a listing audit take?
The free single-page check is returned within one business day. A single listing is usually two to three business days; a ten-page store pack takes about a week.
Do you need access to my store or seller account?
No. The free check starts from a public product URL. If you later want the audit applied across the catalogue, we work from an export of your product data.
What happens to a claim you flag as “needs a source”?
You get a rewritten line that stays true without the document, plus a placeholder for the document. If you have the test report or certificate, the same line can carry its number and date instead.
Will rewriting my page hurt rankings?
We rewrite the sentences that create risk and keep the terms that earn the traffic. In most audits the page gets shorter, more specific and easier to read — which is what the rewritten version is measured on.
Do you work with non-English storefronts?
Yes. We audit in English and can deliver the rewritten copy in the language of the storefront.
