Amazon listing audit

Amazon listing audit: claims, bullets and suppression risk

Most Amazon listings were written once, by a supplier, and never re-checked. We read yours the way a policy reviewer reads it, then return three lines per claim: what holds up, what needs a source, and what should be rewritten. The first listing is free.

Send the ASIN or the product URL. You get the annotated listing back — no call, no account access needed.

What gets a listing in trouble

Claims inherited from supplier copy

A sentence written by a factory in 2019, still selling in 2026, with no document behind it anywhere in the account.

Regulated wording in bullets

Disease, safety, food-contact, pest, disinfecting or environmental statements sitting in the five bullets where nobody reviews them.

Superlatives and rankings

“#1”, “best seller”, “strongest”, “clinically proven” — comparative claims that need a period, a source or a qualification.

Contradictions across fields

The title says 600 ml, the specification says 300 ml, the A+ chart says 12 oz. Buyers return the item; the listing gets flagged.

What we check, field by field

FieldWhat the audit looks for
TitleClaim words that trigger review, size and capacity statements that contradict the specs, brand and model accuracy.
Bullet pointsMaterials, safety, performance and origin claims; absolute outcomes; missing measurable detail.
Product descriptionHealth-adjacent language, comparative claims, environmental statements without substantiation.
A+ contentComparison charts, ingredient and material tables, claims that appear only in the image modules.
Images and alt textClaim text baked into infographics and alt attributes — the field most often forgotten.
Variation namesSize, colour and bundle wording that disagrees with the parent listing.
Backend search termsTerms that create a compliance risk rather than extra reach, including competitor brand names.

What the findings look like

Unsupported safety claim. A pet product page stated “made of FDA food-approved, high-strength TPU that is BPA-free” The FDA regulates food-contact substances; it does not approve materials. The defensible version cites the regulation and attaches the supplier test report.
Certificate without an identifier. “OEKO-TEX certified” No certificate number, no date, no tested scope. Add the three, or the claim cannot be verified by anyone who asks.
Absolute promise. “No more scratches.” No test, no conditions, no caveat. Replace with a qualified outcome and a recommendation for delicate surfaces.

How it works

  1. Send the ASIN or product URL.
  2. We tag every claim as holds up, needs a source or rewrite, and separate contradictions from missing buyer facts.
  3. You get the annotated listing and the rewritten copy, ready to paste into Seller Central, with placeholders for the document or certificate that closes each open claim.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need access to my Seller Central account?

No. The free check works from the public listing. For catalogue-wide work we use an export of your product data or flat files you provide.

Can you tell me if my listing will be suppressed?

No one can promise that. What we can do is show you which sentences carry that risk and give you the version that does not, before a reviewer finds them.

My listing is already live and selling. Is it worth changing?

Usually yes. A flagged claim is a live liability whether or not it has been noticed yet, and the rewritten line is often more specific — which helps conversion as well as compliance.

Do you write the listing from scratch?

We rewrite the claims that create risk and keep what works. Full listing copy is available as a separate package.

Which marketplaces do you cover?

Amazon US, UK and EU storefronts, plus Shopify, Walmart and Etsy listings.
